The tax-deferred MYGA assumes no withdrawal, so no taxes are applied; in reality, taxes are deferred until withdrawal at ordinary income rates. The "Tax at end of term" scenario assumes full withdrawal at term end, taxing gains at the user-entered rate. CD interest is taxed annually at the user-entered tax rate; state taxes are not included. All investments assume annual compounding for simplicity. Results do not account for inflation, fees, early withdrawal penalties, credit risk, or changes in tax laws.
